Our Intro Class contains a summary of the concepts behind CrossFit.
This class is for ANYONE who is looking to make a start with their training journey.
We answer these questions through creating an environment that helps you build and learn about what we do.
We ensure this via teaching and incorporating simple, functional movements, in a way that is simple to grasp the concepts of and then put together to create a CrossFit workout.
We encourage you to get a feel for what a Crossfit workout feels like, the structure and to be invested in our approach when it comes to starting your healthy active lifestyle journey.
During this class we like to ensure that you get the most out of your experience through not only the physical aspect of training but also social interactions you are exposed to in our fun filled team workouts. Team building and helping one another achieve common fitness goals and tasks is a great motivator for continued success.
Our Cubs and Wolves program is meant to be fun for all ages 5-11yrs. This program is not a scaled down version of adults CrossFit, it’s in a league of its own creating Broad-Inclusive-General fun activities which help install a love of fitness and activities that are of benefit beyond the four walls of the gym
The programmed workouts consist of constantly varied, functional movements that deliver a fitness that is broad, inclusive and general whereby we aim to ensure all participants are given the appropriate training stimulus/exercises to help them grow and learn.
This means that, for the most part, no two workouts are the same, so kids never get bored and the novelty of each workout keeps them excited about participating.
The functional movements involve exercises that are fundamental to all things that kids need to do when they play-pull, push, run, throw, climb, lift and jump. All of the movements are taught safely and effectively under the close supervision of our coaches.
This class introduces teenagers to the correct foundational movements and will begin teaching some different lifts, starting with broomstick and moving up in weight slowly based on how well they perform the movement.
Our approach is based on ensuring the Mechanics of movements are performed Consistently well before adding Intensity via weight/repetitions.
We cater for all levels in class and strive to choose the appropriate exercises for their workouts accordingly to help teach them the proper movement and also prevent injury.
Our goal for teens is not to create the best CrossFit athlete. We want to use CrossFit as a vehicle to ensure the teens are educated and conditioned for any other activities/lifestyle choices they might participate in, wether it be recreational, teams or school or just building healthier habits.
We encourage our and teens to try new things and have fun!
